Ilza & Co. is named after my grandmother, a woman whose strength and heart shaped me. She had both power and elegance, and could manage a household, make bold decisions, and crack a joke with you while doing it. And she did it all as a single mom. She also taught me about the restorative powers of naps, a good manicure, and a bold lipstick.
Ilza taught me what it means to care, to show up for others, and to work hard in the name of what’s important to you. Naming this company after her isn’t just a tribute. It’s a promise: to build something that honors where we come from, the capacity we have now, and the futures we’re working toward.
